Read this first section for BTE devices (RxS / Rx4 / Rx7 / Rx8)

Go farther down for the Rxi In Ear devices.

Sound from RxEars is too soft

• Push & release the upper half of rocker switch repeatedly until volume is loud enough.

• Make sure the Ear Dome or Power Tip is secure and did not slip out from your ear canal.

• Make sure the tube is secured onto the unit and that the Ear Dome is firmly in place on the end of the tube.

• Make sure the tube / Ear Dome is clean.

 

RxEars is producing feedback or whistling.

• Make sure the Ear Dome is secure and did not slip out from your ear canal.

• Make sure the tube is secured onto the unit and that the Ear Dome is firmly in place on the end of the tube.

• It may require a different size; install a larger Ear Dome which can be purchased at the store or online.

 

The sound is noisy / distorted / static

• Make sure the unit has a good battery.

• Make sure the tube / Ear Dome is clean.

• Make sure the sound inlet and microphone are clean.

 

No sound coming from your RxEars.

• Make sure the unit is turned on. Close the battery door fully with battery installed.

• Make sure the battery is good, if in doubt replace with new.

• Verify the tube / Ear Dome is clean. Use your cleaning tool to clean inside of the tube.

• Check microphone screen is clean.

You may be producing excessive ear wax. If you feel this may be an issue, visit a healthcare professional.

 

RxEars is making a series of beeps (two beeps, three times in a row).

• This means the battery needs to be changed. Before placing a new battery in the battery compartment, ensure you let the battery sit for 30 seconds after removing its tab to activate it.

This section for Rxi In The Ear Device

Sound from device is too soft

Try a different volume level on the DEVICE:

• Go higher in memory.

• Make sure Hearclear wax guard is clean.

• Make sure microphone screen is clean.

 

RxEars is producing feedback or whistling.

• Ensure device is seated firmly in the ear canal.

 

The sound is noisy / distorted / static.

• Make sure the unit has a good battery.

• Make sure Hearclear wax guard is clean.

• Make sure microphone screen is clean.

 

No sound coming from RxEars.

• Make sure the unit is turned on. Close the battery door fully with battery installed.
